When I think about senior year, I think about fun and celebrating your story — and Brooklyn brought all of that and more to her senior session.

This incredible girl is graduating from Round Rock Christian Academy and heading to Baylor University this fall (Sic ‘Em Bears! 🐻). But there’s so much more to her journey that deserves to be celebrated.

Brooklyn lives with limb-girdle muscular dystrophy (LGMD2A) — a rare genetic condition that affects about 1 in 100,000 people. And instead of letting that define her, she’s turned it into her mission. She’s an advocate, a speaker, and a light to so many others across the country who are walking similar journeys.

Brooklyn’s strength isn’t just inspiring — it’s unstoppable.

Brooklyn and her cheering squad – featuring her mom, aunt & grandmother – radiated positivity and hope, and her session was one of those where you walk away feeling so lucky to get to meet and work with people like them!

Advocating with Heart: Brooklyn’s Mission

Most seniors are busy planning their grad parties and prepping for college (and Brooklyn is too!), but she’s also spent her high school years traveling across the country speaking about LGMD2A — raising awareness, advocating for research, and sharing her story to help others feel known in the rare disease community.

She’s proof that even when life hands you hard things, you can still live with hope and purpose.

Brooklyn’s passion for advocacy is just getting started, and I can’t wait to see what she does next as a Baylor Bear. The world better get ready. 💥
